Downloaded this album and found it enjoyable. Actually I paid attention to it because of the Chiquinho do Acordeon whom I respect much. The repertoir of the album is good. The only thing that I didn't like in the album is the presence of tuba instead of contrebas. God knows why for swingy music did they use an instrument which is more suited for dixieland.

What happened to Loronix is a mistery. Nobody knows why he stopped posting.
About Chiquinho do Acordeon: he was born in 1928 at Santa Cruz do Sul, RS, and died in 1993 at Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
He started playing accordion at age 9.
In 1951 he started to play at Radio Nacional (he was there for 10 years).
In 1952 he created a group: TRIO SURDINA (I have rip some of their albuns)with Garoto (acoustic guitar) and Fafá Lemos (violin).
In 1954 he started playing with Radamés Gnattali group.
In 1953 he create CHIQUINHO AND HIS GROUP that played and recorded until the 90's.
Chiquinho do Acordeon played and worked with music (as director at radios and TVs, and instrumentist on other's albuns as well) all his life.
He is considered one of the best accordeonists of all times.
His real name was Romeu Seibel.
I recorded his artistic name (Chiquinho do Acordeon) and his photo, so you will know the pronuntiation of his name, and how he looked like. It is a very small mpg file that you will be able to download at http://www.mediafire.com/?vfxeg29f5bdztjc.

Dear Supr,
I've downloaded your file Chiquinho1961LP.rar and I found that the musics are not what they are believed to be.
There seems to be some confusion that I couldn't detect if it came from Loronix files (since I didn't downloaded it).
Everithink seems OK from track 01 - Chora Tua Tristeza, to track 09 - Dindi.
Then (track 10) there is a litle one (0.57 minutes) track that is also Dindi. I couldn't identify if it is only a segment of the previous one. Maybe it is.
Track 11 is Esmeralda;
Track 12 is Serenata Suburbana.
I don't know where is "Guarda Che Luna".

Tuba in Brazilian music were extensively used, in old times, by little towns bands that made public presentations in the main square in a place called "coreto da praça".
There is a Brazilian rhythm called maxixe where tuba is a must.
I like them. They remind me my childhood.
